Quick help, great commitment,

strong team spirit - HTR says thank you

On June 25, 2025, a fire broke out at our facility in Thalheim near Wels, caused by overheating in the exhaust air system. Thanks to the rapid and professional response of the emergency services, the fire was brought under control within a short time—no one was injured and all employees were able to leave the building safely and independently.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the emergency services who acted quickly, prudently, and with great dedication in this situation. A total of around 70 firefighters from eight fire departments were deployed. We would also like to thank the Red Cross for looking after our employees, as well as the police, the State Criminal Police Office, and the fire prevention agency for their rapid investigation into the cause.

It is particularly important to us to note that HTR's daily operations were only restricted on this day. Normal operations in most of the company were able to resume without restriction the following day, and even in the department affected by the fire, almost all customers were able to be served again without interruption shortly thereafter.

“We are very grateful that no one was injured and that we were able to continue operations as usual for our customers. We would like to express our special thanks to all emergency services for their quick and professional response,” said Klaus Höggerl, CEO of HTR.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Lisa Kolnberger and her team at Eurospar in Sattledt, who provided us with spontaneous and extremely helpful support: within a very short time, over 100 fresh sausage rolls were prepared for the emergency services – and as a generous gesture, the store even provided some of the cold drinks. This uncomplicated support was a real blessing in the acute situation.

The incident has shown us once again how crucial well-coordinated safety measures and excellent cooperation with the emergency services – and with committed partners from the region – are.

A big thank you to all the helpers – for your commitment, your professionalism, and your support!
